NEW CHURCH ORDER - IN THE MIDST OF THE SECOND REFORMATION

In this post-modern generation, the term “New Church Order” is being used to describe what God is doing in churches throughout the world in the 21st century. God’s Spirit is leading the church back to the future! The “New Church Order” is one of those post-denominational phenomenon’s that God has birthed in the hearts of leaders who have grown weary with ineffective leadership sitting in session, debating amongst themselves on how best to “do” church. Post-denominational leaders focus their energies on “being” the church.

It is said of those leaders who join in this supernatural phenomenon of “New Church Order” that they commonly meet on the hallowed ground of holy purpose and divine mission. These apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers all agree that the emphasis is on the practical ways men and women can join together to do the mission. The missional command of Jesus Christ is to “go ye into all the world” and these post-denominational leaders are consumed with a Holy Spirit driven passion to “go ye…and preach the gospel.” It is commonly said of these passionate leaders, “If the Lord comes, He will find them working for Him in the fields ready to harvest.”

Post-denominational leaders recognize that God is birthing within the wider world of Christianity a new movement. This movement will not be one of denominational structure, but rather Holy Spirit governed fellowship. For new movement – or, “New Church Order” to appear there must first be a revelation for the new which leads to a revolution away from the old, ineffective ways of doing church as usual.

Post-denominational leaders recognize the law of spiritual progression. Revelation leads to Revolution. Revolution leads to Reformation. Reformation leads to “New Order.” For the Book of Acts to be manifested in this generation, church leaders must purpose to go back to it. Our future revival and the power of God are in His progressive order.

The First Reformation was over the creeds of the Bible. Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis on the door of dead religion demanding that the common man be given license to partake of the bread of God. So, the first reformation was over the Word of God getting to the common man.

The Second Reformation, (that spiritual formation that is taking place right now) will be over the Behavior of the Church.

We must get back to Behaving like the Book of Acts!

You see, God is strategically and prudently using miracles to “draw all men to Him.” In the progression of a true Book of Acts experience, there cannot be a “this is that” until there is a “what meaneth this.” Post-denominational leaders understand that the church must again embrace a particular language and lifestyle in order to bring conviction to the heart of unbelievers until they ask, “what meaneth this.”
