President, Christ Ministries School of Divinity
Apostolic World Christian Fellowship (AWCF) Department of Education
Mission & Vision
The mission of the AWCF Department of Education is to educate and empower AWCF associates through a comprehensive understanding of biblical principles, cultivating spiritual growth and leadership excellence across the fellowship. Our vision is to educate from an Apostolic worldview, equipping individuals to fully realize their divine purpose. We are committed to preserving Apostolic doctrine, experience, and practice across all endorsed educational ,ministerial, and training initiatives.
To support these goals, the Department of Education partners with Christ Ministries School of Divinity (CMSD)—a fully online Bible college based in Charleston, Illinois—to implement and expand strategic global education efforts.
Global Initiatives & Graduate Certificate Program
CMSD developed a ten-week Graduate Certificate Program specifically designed for AWCF international leaders. This program provides deep theological training in key Apostolic doctrines such as the inspiration of Scripture, the plan of salvation, the Godhead, monotheism, and the absolute deity of Jesus Christ. Through this initiative, international leaders have gained a solid doctrinal foundation upon which to build their ministries.
This program has yielded outstanding results in Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Uganda. Dr. David Abraham of Nigeria remarked,
“My time at CMSD has been most profound, and I cannot in any language sufficiently describe how excited, how effective, and how gloriously it has influenced my walk with God.”
Given its success abroad, the program has since been extended to church groups within the United States. AWCF pastors, organizations, and local churches are now utilizing this initiative to train key leaders and members in Apostolic Truth, allowing them to focus on broader ministry development. To date, leaders in Arizona, Georgia, and Tennessee have completed the program, with numerous pastors and bishops expressing interest in implementing it within their own congregations.
Advanced Education – Master of Divinity Degree
CMSD also offers a rigorous two-year Master of Divinity Degree Program, with many AWCF members currently enrolled or having completed the program. This graduate-level education enriches and equips participants for spiritual maturity and impactful ministry.
Several AWCF leaders, including Bishop Luke Smith (General Chairman) and Bishop Perry Thompson (2nd Vice-Chairman), have emphasized the importance of this program by requiring completion as a prerequisite for ordination within their churches.
CMSD 2024 graduate, Pastor Yohannes Deboch, reflected on his experience:
“When I began the CMSD Master of Divinity Degree Program, my hope was to deepen my understanding of biblical teachings, enhance my spiritual growth, and acquire the skills necessary for effective ministry. The actual outcome has far exceeded my expectations. The program provided me with profound biblical knowledge, practical ministry skills, and a deepened spiritual life. It has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual fortitude to serve God and His people effectively. It has been a journey of deep personal and professional growth, preparing me to fulfill my calling with excellence.”
