Nigeria Mission Trip 2025

Nigeria Empowered for Purpose
NIGERIA - August 19 to 26, 2025
"For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" - 1 Corinthians 9:16
A Divine Assignment
There are prayers you pray that change your entire destiny. Years ago, our International Missions Director Apostle BJ Riley as a young minister uttered a dangerous prayer: "Lord, send me wherever You will. I am willing to die for the gospel." Decades and millions of miles later, that prayer is still being answered.

The mission to Nigeria in August 2025 was not just another trip. It was a divine assignment. And what God did on Nigerian soil is nothing short of apostolic history.
This was no ordinary conference tour. This was a sovereign deployment of heaven's agenda.
From the urban chaos of Lagos to the red-soiled roads of Warri, the fire of the Holy Ghost swept across the land. The theme, "Empowered for Purpose," was not just a conference slogan. It became a living reality.
When the Ground Trembled
From the very first session of the National Apostolic Fire Conference, the atmosphere was electric. Nations were present. Bishops, apostles, evangelists, and worshipers pressed in, not for another meeting, but for a divine encounter.
The altar was never empty. Tears soaked the carpet. Cries of repentance mingled with heavenly tongues. Five-fold ministry leaders, gripped by fresh revelation, stepped forward for baptism in JESUS' Name, committing to re-baptize their congregations in full obedience to Acts 2:38.
We baptized them at sunrise, just hours before boarding planes for the next assignment. The harvest would not wait.

A Historic Licensing Harvest
That mission week, 256 ministers were licensed under AWCF. Not names on paper, but soldiers in the army of God. The breakdown is staggering:
- 92 Pastors
- 41 Apostles
- 34 Bishops
- 37 Reverends
- 27 Evangelists & Missionaries
- Others: Worship leaders, prophets, professors, elders, and saints from every corner of Nigeria

These are men and women who heard the call and answered. Many left denominational security to stand under the banner of apostolic truth. They came from Abia, Bayelsa, Lagos, the FCT, and 13 other active states. A national Gospel army was confirmed in one week.
Power Encounters in Warri
In Warri, the true Gospel was preached behind prison walls. Over 32 inmates repented and surrendered to JESUS. A small chapel of 75 became a megaphone for 900 others who listened through speakers outside.

Hundreds of dollars in supplies were distributed. But more than that, eternal hope entered iron gates.

That same weekend, during the International Ministers and Business Network Conference, the AWCF delegates Apostle BJ Riley and Apostle Wayne Foster preached in nine sessions in two days. After preaching one service drenched in sweat, Apostle Riley was rushed to another service to deliver the Word again. The urgency was divine. The anointing, unrelenting.
Honoring the Pillars
On behalf of the AWCF General Chairman Bishop Luke Smith, we honored Apostle Godwin Ajoku, Chairman Emeritus of AWCF Nigeria. A father in the faith. A man who stood when others folded. Now, a mantle passes.

In a solemn and powerful service, Rev. Dr. Francis Akwari Onuoha was consecrated and installed as National Chairman of AWCF Nigeria. Hands were laid. Oil was poured. Heaven bore witness.
From Nigeria to the Nations
This wasn’t just a Nigerian mission. It was an African gathering. Seated together were leaders from Uganda, Liberia, Ethiopia, and others.

Among them, the former Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn, bishops, and national chairmen. The apostolic table is expanding.
This trip closed with baptisms on the road to the airport. Preachers drenched not just in water, but in glory.

And just like that, the plane took off. As the sun set on one nation and rose on the next.
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." - Matthew 24:14
To JESUS Be All the Glory
Until the last soul hears. Until the last prayer is answered. Until the trumpet sounds.
AWCF Nigeria has been empowered. And we are only getting started.
